Born and raised in India, Richa is a seasoned operations leader with a strong background in strategy and operations. With over 15 years of experience across diverse industries, Richa has lived and worked in three countries- Canada, India, and the US. Holding an MBA & MSc in International Business along with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Richa is passionate about creating meaningful change.
As the Vice President of Production Research & Operations at Rebellyous Foods, she led impactful initiatives that successfully reduced costs and increased production capacity to make plant-based meats affordable to all. Richa also launched and led India’s first national vegan campaign with India’s largest animal protection organisation – Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organizations (FIAPO), building the volunteer base from scratch and reaching over 35,000 individuals within 6 months of launch. Previously, Richa led production operations at LUSH Cosmetics North America and was involved in launching and leading the employee sustainability team and employee volunteer and wellness programs benefitting hundreds of employees.
Richa is also passionate about mental health and housing insecurity and currently serves on the board of Elizabeth Gregory Homes, an organisation providing support to women experiencing homelessness. If not volunteering for one of the causes she is passionate about, Richa can often be found enjoying the outdoors with her foster dog/s. She also enjoys reading, running and listening to podcasts.
