What We Do

Expanding the Boundaries of Religious Narratives

Our approach is rooted in uncovering, amplifying, and reshaping religious narratives to center women’s voices and challenge systemic exclusion. We invest in long-term structural shifts by cultivating narrative power by supporting women and non-dominant voices to challenge entrenched biases and reimagine a more just, peaceful, and inclusive future.

Transforming faith begins with who gets to speak. By centering women’s voices, we challenge exclusion, reclaim narratives, and build a more just and inclusive future.

Collective Voices is developed to document women’s experiences and alternative interpretations. We gather diverse content—case studies, articles, blogs, creative pieces, documentaries, and research—that offers alternative perspectives on women’s roles in religion and peacebuilding.

We believe that the person who tells the story is as important as the story itself. We support women peacebuilders and progressive organizations to advance their work. Through this process, we facilitate the amplification of narratives that challenge unjust interpretations and envision inclusive futures. Our pilot program offers:

  • One-on-one mentorship to carefully selected participants
  • Specialised support in strategic communications and impact storytelling
  • Structured engagement
    with clear
    deliverables
  • Focus on participants who have valuable insights but lack resources for professional communications support

We will soon establish a virtual collaborative platform for women from diverse religious backgrounds. Here, they can connect, ideate, and form partnerships. This serves as a space for peer learning and sharing of resources to strengthen their storytelling skills and amplify their voices. To join our network, subscribe to our newsletter.

  • Offering targeted fellowships to women storytellers, especially from underrepresented groups
  • Forging strategic alliances with civil society, media, progressive religious institutions, and other aligned organisations
  • Developing a structured storyteller development program with educational components
  • Implementing microgrants to support compelling narrative projects

Got an idea but need support to tell your story?

Our work centers on women’s interpretations and experiences, particularly from non-dominant communities in South Asia. We recognise that diverse voices bring critical perspectives that have been historically excluded from religious discourse. By creating dedicated spaces and resources for these voices, we challenge entrenched power structures and expand possibilities for inclusive religious practice.
