Jaya Dani is an accomplished professional with over 15 years of experience promoting social cohesion, peacebuilding, and interfaith-intercultural dialogue. He has been at the forefront of initiatives aimed at preventing violent extremism, fostering youth engagement, and advancing social-emotional learning in education. His work reflects a steadfast commitment to building inclusive communities through innovative programs and strategic partnerships.

Previously, Dani worked with UNESCO-MGIEP in India, specialising in youth engagement, peace education, and initiatives that integrate social and emotional learning into global citizenship education frameworks. His expertise in project and program management is complemented by a strong focus on training and capacity building, empowering communities, and young leaders to drive transformative change.

Dani is a graduate of the University for Peace (UPEACE), where he earned a master’s degree in international peace studies as part of the Asia Leaders Program. He also participated in the East-West Center’s Asia Pacific Leadership Program, further honing his skills in cross-cultural leadership and global collaboration.

Through his diverse experiences across Indonesia, India, and Turkey, Dani brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of the interplay between education, youth development, and peacebuilding.
