Impact of Religion on the Lived Experiences of Women in South Asia

There are parts of women’s life shaped by religion that don’t usually get said. What you can wear. How your body is treated. Who can you marry. What you’re allowed to lead. Most of this stays private within families, communities, and places of worship.
We, at Faith Futures Collective, are documenting how religion is actually lived by women across South Asia.
The Survey
It takes about 10 minutes, and all questions are multiple choice. It asks about things that come up in everyday life, including your body, what you wear, relationships and family expectations, religious practice, identity, and what would feel different or shift from where you stand.
You are answering from your own experience, in your family, your community, or your place of worship.
Who this is for

Women between 20 and 60, living in South Asia or part of the diaspora. The survey is available in English and Hindi.
What happens with your response
We are aiming for 200–300 responses, alongside a smaller set of in-depth interviews with participants who choose to opt in. The findings will be used to build reports, share lived narratives, and support conversations with community groups and faith leaders.
Privacy
Your survey responses will remain anonymous. Your name and email are collected to contact you about interviews or if there’s an issue. They’re never linked to your answers.
